All Fees
All Deposits and Holding Fees and other Daycare Fees are non-refundable.
If you withdraw from the daycare before care is started the fees are still non-refundable and go towards all and any costs (living or daycare) that have or will come up.
All Deposits are non-refundable and go toward your last month of care that has ALREADY COMMENCED and to cover any other costs.
If you or I terminate Immediately (no notice), you forfeit your Deposit. The deposit will go towards any and all costs that will accrue over the following two weeks.
Holding Fees: This fee holds your spot and covers some of my costs for the week. If you change your mind and do not attend my daycare the fee is still non-refundable.
In other words: Any money paid will not be refunded for any reason should there be a termination of services by any party.
Contents of contract, website, and parents handbook
'Please note that ALL contents of Little Seeds Home Daycare contract, website and parent handbook are final, binding and non-negotiable. Any attempts of clients to argue, bully or renegotiate contract stipulations or policies and procedures can and will result in termination of this contract. The decision to make an exception by the provider in one instance does not negate future requirements to abide by the contract'.
Custody Arrangements
If you are in a situation where both parents are not living under the same roof please ensure that you put in writing how you would like to handle making decisions regarding your child’s best interests while in care. For example how you want to handle payment of fees. Please note I will only except payment for one person. The sharing of information about your child. Who receives the distribution of written information. Who can authorize the release of your child at departure time.
It is my recommendation that all separated/divorced parents provide a copy of the custody arrangement. I would be UNABLE TO ENFORCE any custodial parents requests WITHOUT legal documentation.
This copy should include the following.
TITLE PAGE (this states who is involved),
CUSTODY PORTION (this clarifies the agreed upon arrangements), and
THE JUDGES SEAL & SIGNATURE (this confirms it has been reviewed by a Court of Law).
Parents need to work together to ensure that collectively there is consistently one set of directions, that they are presenting a united front as far as decisions or issues that affect your little ones participating in the my program.
It is the responsibility of both parents to keep the lines of communication open. Unfortunately it is not my role, nor do I have proper counseling background to mediate family disagreements. Should a family be in a situation where their inability to provide a united front while in the program; and in my opinion; this behaviour is affecting the well-being of their own child or others within the program, and I may be required to discontinue services, this is until such a time that ‘family harmony’ can be restored and if there is still a spot open at that time. I hold the right to terminate the agreement without notice.
Entering the Daycare each day
When arriving for daycare your child must be ready for the day and all the activities.
Below is a check list of what you need to be allowed to enter the daycare each day:
Is properly dressed for the day
Has the proper outdoor clothing for the day
Has had breakfast (has not had any sugary foods)
Has been bathed (that morning or the night before)
Has had a good nights rest
If you miss/not done any of these by the time you arrive, I have the right to send you and your child home until the check list is complete. Please note that we will carry on with our day so when you return we might not be in the daycare. You can text me to see where we are. It is your responsibility to come to us.
Fee Increases
If I chose to do a fee increase; it will done yearly; and come into effect on January 1st., no matter when the contract was signed.
The fee increase will be no more then $10.00 per week.
Getting Dirty
Please keep in mind that your child WILL get dirty at daycare. It is unavoidable.
Paint, food, glue, mud etc. will get on your children's clothes. I do not take responsibility for keeping your child clean. We have fun and fun can be messy.
Please ensure that your child is NOT in his/her "good" clothing
Left Items
After your child has left care and you have left some of their belongings here, you can pick then up on the weekend or in the evening. You MUST contact me first to make sure I will be home. For the safety of the children still in care you will not be able to pick up the items during daycare hours.
If the items are not picked up within 14 days from the last day of care, I will consider them abandoned and the items will either be donated or thrown out.
Phone Calls
Please keep in mind there may be times when it is not possible for me to run to the phone. (diaper changing, bottle feeding, etc.) If the phone goes unanswered, please do not become alarmed, simply leave me a voice message and I will call you as soon as I am able. Do not be surprised if I do not call back but rather answer your questions at pick up. Please refrain from calling at nap time, 12:00 to 3:00pm as you will wake the children.
Quiet/Nap Time
During quiet/nap time your child does not have to sleep, but does have to respect the other children who are sleeping.
All children must stay on their sleep mat/ in their playpen until quiet/nap time is over.
I will not keep a child awake. If your child falls asleep he/she will remain asleep until he/she wakes up. I will ONLY wake a child up if there is an emergency, such as a fire, etc. During school months when I need to do school runs.
Please re-frame from calling, stopping by or doing a drop off/pick up during this time.
If you must pick up your child due to an emergency during this time please call/text me, so I can have your child ready to go.
Stormy Weather
With the oncoming of winter, we will be facing stormy weather. I would ask if the weather is bad that you do the following:
when possible please leave work early to insure you can pick up your child on time
arrange to have someone else to pick up your child before or at closing time
please call to let me know that you are on your way
drive at a safe speed. I would rather you be late then dead or hurt
I will be waiving all late fees for my private clients when the weather is dangerously bad, such as a white out.
Remaining Open
I will be open no matter what the weather. It is up to you, if you want to bring your child to care or not, due to bad weather. During bad weather days we will be having an indoor day. Maybe even a movie day.
Termination Policy
Termination by all
All new children will be cared for a two-week trial period beginning on your child's first actual day of care. During that time parent or provider may terminate the childcare agreement with 24 hours notice.
After the trial period, if termination is done within the first 25 weeks (125 business days) of care, the deposit will go to the provider as a bonus for taking the time to transition your child.
After 125 business day, a two months (8 weeks) written notice is required by the parents to terminate the agreement. If two months notice is not given to the daycare, the security deposit will be used to cover the last month of care.
If termination is done immediately (with or without notice), or with less than eight (8) weeks (40 business days) notice all of the deposit will go towards other expenses.
If you terminate care before physical care has started you forfeit all fees paid. Such as, but not limited to: holding fees, deposit, first payment etc.
If you terminate care, but wish to return at a later date you will need to sign a new contract, pay new increase fees, and pay another deposit. You are not guaranteed a spot unless a non-refundable holding fee is paid.
Weather Policy
This is Canada and our weather can vary from one extreme to another. Hence, I feel it necessary to implement an extreme weather policy. Since most of my clients are under age 4 and their little bodies both overheat and lose heat very quickly, I will not be taking the daycare children outside to play on days where the temperature is:
o Above 32 C
o Below -10 C
